Across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, padelyeti counts 2,468 open courts at 711 open venues, which works out at 3.6 courts per 100,000 people. Republic of Ireland figures are reported separately throughout this report and are never folded into any UK total or average.

Northern Ireland is the best served UK nation at 5.2 courts per 100,000 people, or one court for every 19,300 people. Scotland is the least well served at 1.7 courts per 100,000, one court for every 59,600 people. That is a gap of 3.1 times between the top and bottom of the table.

North West leads the English regions on 5.5 courts per 100,000 people. London, despite having the largest population of any region, sits at 3.1 courts per 100,000, one court for every 32,600 residents, so the leading region is 1.8 times better supplied per head than the capital.
Republic of Ireland
The Republic of Ireland is counted on its own. It has 174 open courts at 59 open venues for a population of 5,458,600, which is 3.2 courts per 100,000 people, or one court for every 31,400 people.
County Dublin accounts for 56 of those courts, giving 3.6 courts per 100,000 Dublin residents, one court for every 28,000 people. That count comes from the live padelyeti database.
The growth pipeline
A further 147 venues are under construction or publicly announced, carrying 573 planned courts between them. If every one of them opens, court capacity across the UK and Ireland grows by roughly 22 percent on today's open stock. Every pipeline venue is listed on our opening soon page.
Coverage and the remaining gaps
Padel is now present in roughly 86 of Britain's 92 largest towns, which makes the sport close to nationally distributed rather than a big-city curiosity. The confirmed gaps we can name are Inverness, Grimsby and Stevenage, each a sizeable town with no padel venue open today. Where a town is missing from this list, it is because we have an open venue on file or because we cannot yet verify the absence to the standard the rest of this report is held to.
